– How it works –
HOW DOES THE GREEN HOMES GRANT WORK?
The Green Homes Grant is divided into two categories:
Primary home improvements
Secondary improvements
To qualify, you must install at least one measure from the primary category. Primary measures are classed as the home improvements which make the biggest difference to your home’s energy efficiency.
Once you have applied for, and redeemed your primary voucher, you can then apply for a secondary measure (providing you have money remaining on your voucher).
The contribution on a secondary measure will be capped at the same amount provided in relation to the primary measures.
For example, if you claim £1,500 for insulation (a primary measure), then you will be eligible for a maximum of £1,500 for double glazing (a secondary measure).
Both homeowners and landlords are eligible.
